#05 Thinline
This is a lovingly made and finished “partscaster” with premium parts and setup. Built under the Quint Guitars brand, this guitar was created with a specific vision: to achieve an ultra-light and extremely resonant instrument that could sustain for days.
Features
- Beautiful pine semi-hollow body with stunning woodgrain visible through the finish
- Expert relic touches by MJT
- Hand-finished roasted maple neck with rosewood fretboard, treated with Tung Oil and wax
- Unique pickup combination for maximum grit and sustain:
- Fralin Steel Pole 43 in the neck (P90-style)
- Fralin High Output in the bridge
- Reversed control layout with smooth-turning Bournes pots
- Ultra-light weight at just 6lbs 9oz
Sound and Playability
The combination of pickups delivers serious output that really drives a tube amp, providing instant grit and feedback when desired. The Bournes pots are intentionally looser than standard CTS pots, making it easy to perform volume control fades and tremolo effects.
